Our quiet, inviting infant room provides infants aged six weeks to one year with the perfect secure learning and play environment. The children are invited to explore the room through movement, once they are able, to assist in stimulating their development. Our caring infant teachers follow the parent’s specific schedule for their infant, to ensure the child is provided with a stable and consistent daily pattern. Parents are to supply their child’s diapers, wipes and pre-made formula, as well as any other necessities the child may require. Each child has their own individual crib. Lesson plans are created weekly, and are dependent on the age group the child is in. Reports are created on a daily basis, focusing on the child’s eating, sleeping and bathroom habit, as well as their daily activities.

Our center has three toddler rooms, divided by age group. One room consists of children aged 12-18 months, another consists of children aged 18-24 months, and the third room has children ranging from 24-32 months. Our toddler rooms invite children to experiment with movement, develop motor skills, learn thought processes, beginning language, and begin to develop social skills. Parents receives a report each day, focused on their eating, sleeping and bathroom habits, as well as other activities the child participated in that day. Parents are to supply their child’s diapers, wipes and lunch, as well as any other necessities the child may require. Family of Faith provides two nutritional snacks per day, one in the morning, and one in the afternoon after nap time. The eldest toddlers, aged 24-32 months, attend chapel once per week, to take part in the music and movement activities provided.

The VPK program lasts for three hours, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Our VPK program follows the public school year calendar. Wrap-around care is available for parents who wish to bring their children all day. Children attending wrap-around care must bring lunch each day. The children who attend wrap-around take naps in the beginning of the school year, and as the year progresses, the children are slowly weaned off of naps, to prepare them for Kindergarten in the fall.
Our preliminary School Readiness score for the 2009-2010 school year was a 200/200.

Our summer camp invites children from kindergarten to fifth grade to take part in a fun-filled, safe program which encourages social skills, as well as learning. The children swim at the Yacht Club every Friday, and visit the Cape Coral Library every Thursday during the summer months. Other field trips include visits to: Sun Splash, the movie theater, Greenwell’s and the local parks. Educational field trips include those to Emergency Management, the police station and the Imaginarium. At the center, the children also take part in arts and crafts, projects, talent shows, recreational activities and working with computers.

Our after school program consists of children from kindergarten to fifth grade. The children are picked up from their elementary schools using our Family of Faith buses. The schools that we pick up from include: Cape Coral Elementary, Trafalgar Elementary and Pelican Elementary. Their afternoon begins with outside recreation time, then moves on to snack, silent homework time, and then free play.
Family of Faith also provides care for elementary aged children on early dismissal days, as well as days/weeks when public schools are closed. |
