History of the Center:
Family of Faith Christian Academy was established in 1992 as a year-round, church affiliated, child care and pre-school education center. We are fully licensed and dedicated to providing the highest quality care and education for your child. We understand that the most important years for your child's educational, social, and spiritual development are between six weeks and five years of age. It is our goal to provide all children with a feeling of acceptance, love, and security as they begin their educational enrichment. All of our staff members are experienced in early childhood development and education. We are dedicated to providing the academic, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being required by every child during these important formative years.

Curriculum:
Family of Faith Christian Academy has adopted Teaching Strategies’, “Creative Curriculum,” for our use. We survey nature, seasons, holidays, and many other interesting topics regarding the world about us and integrate them into this curriculum. Signing and Spanish languages are taught. Spiritual development is stimulated through the use of Group Publishing’s Bible curriculum.

Security:
Family of Faith has video cameras which record 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, in every classroom, hallway, and at each entrance/exit into our center. The entrance gate also has a key pad, in which a personal code or card key is needed to enter the center. This provides a safe environment for our children and staff at all times.

Family of Faith has an open-door policy, parents may come and observe their children at any time during the day.

ITERS-R and ECERS-R
Family of Faith Christian Academy follows the Environmental Rating Scales, ICERS-R (Infant and Toddler Environmental Rating Scale-Revised) and ECERS-R (Early Childhood Environmental Rating Scale-Revised). These assessment tools ensure the quality of our child care center, and focus on health and safety, the creation of positive relationships, and the opportunity of gaining stimulation and learning from experiences. The Environmental Rating Scales assess both the indoor and outdoor aspects of our center, the materials and activities offered, the interaction and supervision by the teacher, and the routines which occur in the classroom.

Our scores from last year will soon be located on the  Early Learning Coalition website.
